Every certificate is issued by the person or brand that made the item, from a verified account. iCOA never authenticates items on anyone's behalf.
Fingerprinted
The photo and every detail are hashed at issue time. Change a single pixel or word and the fingerprint no longer matches, and the same photo cannot be certified twice.

What can I certify?
Anything you make or have the rights to certify: artworks, collectibles, signed memorabilia, fashion, jewelry and watches, furniture and design pieces, instruments. Art is where iCOA started, and each category asks for the details that matter to it.
Does iCOA authenticate my item?
No. A certificate is issued by the maker or rights holder, who attests that they made the item or are authorized to certify it. iCOA verifies the record: who issued it, that the photo and details have not changed since, and every transfer after. That is why the public page always says who issued it.
Do buyers need a crypto wallet?
No. A buyer claims a certificate with their email address and a six-digit code. The blockchain is how the record is kept, not something anyone has to manage.
What happens when I sell the item?
Open the certificate, enter the buyer's email and send. They get a link, sign in, and the certificate moves to them with the sale added to its history. You can cancel a transfer until it is claimed.
Which blockchain do you use?
Base, a low-cost network built on Ethereum. On the free plan a certificate is recorded on chain the first time it is transferred; on paid plans it is recorded the moment it is issued. More networks are coming.
Can I edit a certificate after issuing it?
No, and that is the point. Drafts are fully editable. Once issued, the details are fingerprinted and frozen, so a certificate means the same thing years from now.
