1.Getting help
Email support@icoa.io and a person will answer. Write from the address you sign in with if you can, and if your question is about a certificate, include its link or the code at the end of it (the part after /c/), so we can find it straight away.
The answers to the questions we hear most often are below.
2.Signing in
iCOA has no passwords. Enter your email address and we send you a 6-digit code; type it in and you are signed in. The code works once and only for a short time, so if it has expired, ask for a new one. You can also sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft.
If the code does not arrive within a minute or two, check your spam or promotions folder, and make sure the address is spelled right. Signing in with a different method but the same verified email address takes you to the same account.
Sign in with Apple can hide your email address behind a private relay address ("Hide My Email"). That gives you a separate iCOA account from one made with your real address. If you seem to have lost your certificates after signing in with Apple, sign out and sign in with your email address instead.
3.Transfers and claim codes
To pass a certificate to a buyer, open it and enter the buyer's email address in its transfer section. We email them a claim link that lasts 14 days. Until they claim it you can cancel the transfer from the same screen, and only one transfer can be open on a certificate at a time.
Buyers: open the link and sign in with the address it was sent to, then choose Claim certificate. If you are signed in under a different address (a Hide My Email address, for example), the claim page offers to email a 6-digit code to the address the transfer was sent to. Enter it within 10 minutes to claim. Once claimed, the certificate shows you as its owner and only you can transfer it on.
If the link has expired, ask the seller to send the transfer again. A transfer moves the certificate only; the sale of the item itself is between the seller and the buyer.
4.Restoring purchases on iPhone
Plans and credits bought in the iPhone app belong to the iCOA account you were signed in to when you bought them. To bring a subscription back after reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone, sign in to that same account, open Account, tap Upgrade or Buy credits, and choose Restore Purchases.
Credits never expire and stay on your account, so they do not need restoring. If the App Store says you already have a plan but the app does not show it, write to us with the email address of the account you bought it on.
5.Refunds and receipts
Bought in the iPhone app: Apple takes the payment, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your purchase history in your Apple account. Cancel a subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Bought on the website: payment is taken by Stripe, which emails a receipt for every charge. Invoices, your payment method and cancelling a subscription are under Manage billing in Settings. For a refund, write to support@icoa.io with the receipt. Our terms say what can be refunded.
6.Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, open Account and tap Delete account at the bottom. On the website, go to Settings and choose Delete account. Your profile, drafts and draft photos are deleted, open transfers are cancelled and any subscription you pay for on the website is cancelled.
A subscription bought in the iPhone app is billed by Apple and is not cancelled when you delete your account: cancel it in your Apple subscriptions as well. Certificates you have already issued stay, because the people who hold them rely on them; the Privacy Policy explains exactly what remains.
